Is the SA Home Battery Scheme still available?
No. South Australia’s Home Battery Scheme closed in 2025. Barossa Valley homes now access the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program plus the REPS Virtual Power Plant incentive – both open in 2026.
How much is the battery rebate in Nuriootpa?
About $252 per usable kWh for the first 14kWh federally – roughly $2,520 on a 10kWh battery – plus, for priority-group households only, up to $1,030 through the SA REPS VPP incentive. The federal amount steps down at the start of 2027.
Do I need solar already?
